Pair of ‘1315’ lounge chairs dated to the mid 1970s, originally designed by Bill Stephens for Knoll in 1967.
Part of Knoll’s ‘1300’ series; this chair is a shining example of Stephens’ expertise in working with steam-bent laminated wood, with its frame effortlessly curving around the upholstered fiberglass seat shell. The original light blue mohair upholstery is intact and shows age-appropriate wear, but is not in need of replacement. The cushions are soft and still have plenty of life left. The frames have been fully refinished, although we have another pair available in original vintage condition that have a wonderful patina.
