This is an early piece from Heritage-Henredon, whose impact on the furniture industry carried from their establishment in 1945 into the late 20th century. The company was founded in North Carolina on the premise of building high-quality and timeless designs, and had a massive catalog consisting of many different styles. From classic Victorian & Provincial to Modernist pieces on-par with the times, and everything in between. They are well known for various collaborations with notable designers like Frank Lloyd Wright, Ralph Lauren & Dorothy Draper.
Based on the stamp & makers mark, it is known that this was built in the 50s; but I am unsure what collection it is a part of, or if a designer is associated with it. It shows some wear, but no structural issues or major cosmetic issues are present. This has been a part of my personal collection for a while and was actually my first legitimate restoration project. It has held up very well so far. I included a “before” photo on the last slide from when I first started working on it!
